dc.descriptionA mixed study was employed. For the quantitative community based cross-sectional study was conducted from February to March 2025, including 469 women of reproductive age selected using a systematic sampling from a community health information system database. The data collection tool was comprised of socio demographic Factors (age, religion, residence, family size, educational status women, husband education, income of the mother, food and nutrition knowledge, frequency of consumption of animal source food, frequency of consumption of vegetables, frequency of consumption of fruits), dietary Behavior factors ( eating habits, fasting, taboo foods, food restrictions, Perception of a nutritious diet), household related factors (WRA engaging in domestic tasks, WRAs engaging in farming tasks, WRAs decision to purchase food, WRAs decision to consume food, Family actual eating occasion), community related factors (access to clean water, Energy for cooking), and institutional (religious fasting practices) related factors. The dataset is available in SPSS format.

local.criteria.exclusionReproductive age women (15- 49 years), who were critically ill or unable to respond to the questions during the time of data collection. Women who were celebrated festivals (e.g. marriage, birth dates, and Christianity) in the last 24hrs, and women who were pregnant and lactating (had child under two years old) were excluded from the study. Key informants and women of reproductive age, who had critical ill or unable to respond to the questions during the time of data collection, were excluded from the study.
