Abstract
Description
This line list-based surveillance data was collected from Awi, Bahir Dar city, East Gojjam, West Gojjam, Gondar town, North Gondar, North Showa, North Wollo, Dessie town, South Wollo, Oromo special, Waghemira and East Gojjam zones between 2006 and 2010. The dataset included 915 maternal and perinatal deaths which were collected based on surveillance reports from health facilities and using a verbal autopsy from the relatives following the public health emergency management structure in the region. The data contains the patients’ sociodemographic (age, marital status, religion, ethnicity, educational level, and residence), maternal obstetric-related characteristics (gravidity, parity, duration of pregnancy, place of delivery) related characteristics were included in the dataset.
