Determinants of teenage pregnancy among government facility ANC and youth friendly service users in Awi zone, Amhara, Ethiopia: a mixed study design

dc.descriptionAn institution-based case-control study triangulated with qualitative study was conducted from February, 22-March 22, 2025.The quantitative study was carried out on a total of 136 cases and 271 controls among teenagers in Awi zone. Simple random sampling method was used to select study participants. The data collection tool was comprised of socio-economic and demographic variables (residence, religion, number of household members, household head status, , age, average monthly income, and marital status), sexual and reproductive health variables (birth history, family history of teenage pregnancy, reason for not employing family planning, past and current pregnancy status, parity, planning of current pregnancy, and ever use of contraception), and client related variable (knowledge about ovulatory cycle, living status, sexual activity status before marriage, prevention of pregnancy) related characteristics. The dataset is available in SPSS format.

local.criteria.exclusionTeenagers were excluded if those who are severely ill, who are unable communicate and who live in the study area for less than six months.
