dc.descriptionAn institutional based cross-sectional study was conducted from January 18/2025 to February 11/2025. Total sample size was 416 healthcare workers. A simple random sampling technique was applied to conduct the study. Data was collected through self-administered structured questionnaires and observation checklists. The data collection tool was comprised of socio-demographic factors (age, sex, marital status, educational status, profession, working department, work experience, working hours, monthly income), knowledge to wards waste segregation practice, attitude towards waste segregation practice, health facility-related factors (availability of PPE, availability hand washing basin, access to waste segregation bins, labels and disposal facilities, proper labeling of sources and categories of wastes, availability of placenta pit/ash pit, availability of formal education/training, existence and enforcements of policies promoting proper waste segregation. The data was coded and entered in Epi-info data version 7.2 and analyzed by SPSS version 26 software. The dataset is available in SPSS format.
