dc.descriptionAn institutional based cross-sectional study design was conducted from August 1, 2024 up to September 30, 2024. A simple random sampling technique was employed to select a total of 333 adult diabetic patients. The dataset comprised of socio-demographic characteristics (age, sex, marital status, educational status, religion, occupation, income and place of residence), and clinical and behavioral characteristics (diabetic peripheral neuropathy, peripheral arterial disease, duration of diabetes mellitus, BMI, diabetes control status, diabetes type, foot deformity, poor self-care practice, access to health care service, smoking. Chat chewing and alcohol intake) related characteristics. The dataset is available in SPSS format.

local.criteria.exclusionDiabetic patients admitted with diabetic keto-acidosis, gestational diabetic patients and patients with traumatic ulcers resulting from road traffic accidents and those who were severely ill and unable to communicate throughout the study period were excluded from the study.
